About me: In an era where a man’s each and every move on the basketball court is either being documented and or ends up as a poster on someone’s wall. A time where sneakers comes into new heights of evolution, this is my generation. Welcome to my world!
I was first introduced to this red and white sneaker by a friend that was owned by his older brother, who just come home from abroad serving his mission. I had no idea what the sneaker was about and didn’t care at that time. I was just a kid, little did I know that the said same sneaker will one day revolutionise the sneaker industry and become iconic, and that the man who wore them was a legend. That man was Michael Jordan.
Growing up in those days where sneakers were at a turning point, it was an awakening for me. Me seeing my friends rocking their Air Jordans had me starring because I couldn’t afford them. I remember playing in a local basketball league, and one of my friends offered to let me play in his Air Jordan 6 Black Infrareds, as I walked onto the basketball court they were literally turning heads. From that day on it started something within me, I told myself that one day I will have my very own pair of Air Jordan sneakers.
Fast forward a little bit, and I finally got my first pair of Air Jordan sneakers. The Air Jordan 12 Taxis, which I bought after saving up enough money, and after all those years it was well worth the wait! The next thing I know, I am into collecting all kinds of sneakers. There was a lot; Nike Cortez , Airmax , And1 and Adidas Superstar followed and boy did I ever wear them with joy, every single time.
Through the years I have collected a sizeable amount of sneakers, and yes most of them are Air Jordan Retros. They make me nostalgic every time I look at them. Because they take me back in time, to my younger years of dreaming of having that one special pair to call my own.
If you have the love for the sneaker… Think big… Dream big… anything is possible.

My Top Three Sneakers
Air Jordan 6 Black Infrared – The sneaker has it’s own account and share of history, MJ got his 1st ever NBA championship in 1991 beating the LA Lakers wearing these. I can still recall that moment when Michael rises for a dunk with his right hand but suddenly decides to switch the ball to his left hand to avoid the long armed Sam Perkins, it was just classic MJ. The Air Jordan 6 brings back memories of my younger years, of me wanting to own these sneaker. Its such a good feeling to know that now I can rock it anytime I want too..
Air Jordan 12 Flu Game – How do you measure a man and what are his limitations ? Is it the ability to change something negative into positive or is it how a man can elevate himself into greatness? Jordan 12 Flu Game mirrors and represents it all, it tells us that a man can exceed his own limitations and rise above others during times of pain and difficulty. That he can succeed with sheer will and most importantly with his heart.
Air Jordan 1 Banned – Amazing is all I can say, now that’s how you market a sneaker. I thank the people who were behind the brilliant marketing strategy and making this sneaker what is it today. Who would have thought that this sneaker would become one of the most iconic shoes of all time and paving the way for other sneakers to follow. It changed our perspective on how we see and how we wear it . It sometimes even reflects our own attitude, our emotions, the way we think and the way we socialise with others. No matter what the story is, to me Air Jordans changed the game Forever.
