About me: How I got into sneakers? Sneakers were never really on my radar until 1990. The year Nike released the Nike Air Max 90. I was in year 9 and I remember quite a few girls owning them. I don’t know what it was about those particular sneakers but I instantly fell in love and wanted them so badly. Unfortunately for me, they were just too expensive. There was no way my parents were going to buy me a $200 pair of shoes which was a lot of money back then. The first pair of sneakers I bought for myself were Adidas Superstars in the classic black and white CW and I happily wore those to see Run DMC in concert. I think I bought my first pair of 90s when Nike re-released them again when I was in my mid 20s.
Once I bought my first pair, I just became obsessed with sneakers in general. That’s when I started collecting. At that stage it was mostly Nike Air Max and Adidas Shelltoes/Superstars.
Now I have something from most brands in my collection. I like to try out new silhouettes and I’m a huge fan of Ronnie Fiegs Asics Collabs, Y3, Adidas, Saucony, Reebok, Jordans especially 3s, 4s and 5s. Oh and – Le Coq Sportif and Puma – I have heaps of those too. Shout out to the less hyped brands. ❤

My top four sneakers I love are:
Nike Air Jordan White Cement 3s. My favorite Jays for sure. The Jordan 3 would have to be my favourite silhouette. They’re not 88s just yet, (my grail jordans and still on the hunt) but they’re still White Cements and I LOVE JB vaulted 3s for a while but since the True Blue 3s released, they look to be back and I’m ready for more.
Adidas EQT Support ADV – I just really love this new silhouette from adidas. I have it in three CWs and definitely planning to pick up some more. I missed out on the Primeknit ones that released so I’ll be waiting for those to pop up somewhere in my size. The pair pictured is the Adidas Consortium x Undefeated.
Next up on my list would have to be Ronnie Fiegs collabs with Asics. The GLV in particular. I have been lucky enough to grab about 5 of his GLVs and the ‘Sage’ are the ones pictured. I don’t think I need to say much about them. You can see how beautiful they are, and so plush. I’m hoping to grab some Volcanoes eventually if I can. We’ll see….
Lastly I had to throw in my Adidas x Pharrell Williams ‘Human Race’ or HU NMDs. They’re just beautiful. The silhouette is absolute fire, they’re beautiful on foot and I like the message behind his Human Race campaign. Hoping to get a few more CWs in these, specifically the red and the black. Fingers crossed.
